BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY – MEET MISS C
I enjoyed chatting with Miss C about her upcoming boudoir photography session. She had the perfect mix of excitement and nervousness in her voice. She sounded “youthful” (anyone younger than me is youthful!), active and confident. Yet, like most of my clients, a boudoir session was just a bit outside of her comfort zone.
I had the pleasure of working with a local makeup artist on during this session, Pam Glam (find her on Facebook or on Instagram as PamGlam614) While I don’t believe every boudoir client needs to have professional hair and make up services, I am a huge believer in having fake eyelashes applied. Even though Miss C had large, beautiful brown eyes already, I really believe the eyelash application is worth the extra investment.
While Pam was working with Miss C to finish her makeup, I spent time going through the clothing items Miss C brought along for her shoot. I love shooting black lingerie because it is simple and elegant. However, I am excited when clients bring something colorful to mix it up. Needless to say I was thrilled to see a royal blue piece in Miss C’s bag of clothes. . . ahhh a splash of color is heavenly!
Once I picked up my camera and began to work, we didn’t stop. Miss C’s athletic background proved to be an asset. She held specific poses longer than I expected and was so coachable! She responded quickly to my verbal and nonverbal requests. By the end of the shoot she even anticipated the next words out my mouth. Chin down just a bit, towards me, look down, small smile.
Thank you for spending your energy and time with me during this boudoir photography session. I am thrilled to have introduced you to this style of photography!
