CELEBRATING CURVY CONFIDENCE

I am a woman with curves.  I have spent decades longing for a slim build.  Wishing I could order jeans online without trying them on.  Wondering how it would be to not have to dance and wiggle to pull a garment over my hips.  Even in my 50’s I keep thinking that “one of these days” I will be fit and trim and have no extra jiggle.

I am a photographer.  Holding the camera up to my eyes provides me with new, different perspectives.  My client on the opposite side of my camera becomes a work of art.  Something to admire.  Celebrate.  It doesn’t matter size or shape.  There is something beautiful to capture.  My joy with my boudoir photos is to celebrate WHO you are.  To find your confidence, your inner beauty, to show you what my camera sees, so you can appreciate  how the world sees you.

More then one client has been startled at their own images.  “It that ME?”  and “Is that how I really look?” and then “That’s what the world sees?”  What does confidence look like?  It’s different for every client.  My session with Miss Nikki set the bar really, really high for me.  Her natural ability to be vulnerable in front of the camera, to let me see her inner beauty, her confidence as well as her curves truly inspired me.

Thank you, Miss Nikki, for spending time with me and my camera and for reminding me that curves are indeed sexy.  Your confidence and inner beauty is easily seen through my lens.  I hope that you carry with you the energy we built the afternoon of our boudoir photo session.  I know it has boosted me!  I am not certain when or if I will have the courage to be on the opposite side of a camera like you did, but if I ever do I will celebrate with many printed images as proof!
