Let’s Talk about Wearing a Bodysuit to your Boudoir Session!
What is a bodysuit anyway? When I suggest to clients that they invest in a bodysuit for their photo session, most often I am then asked, “what is a bodysuit?” Since I am not trendy, a fashionista, nor am I a shopper, the best way I describe what a bodysuit is is to say it’s like a one-piece bathing suit. Or when I was in elementary school, they were called leotards. . . and boy were they a pain back then! I mean you have to take nearly everything off just to go to the bathroom!
But, goodness, bodysuits are amaaaaazing to photograph on EVERY body type! They are available in a wide range of styles — long sleeve, short sleeve or spaghetti strapped and losse and flowy or skintight. Since they are one piece, they play up your curves. For bodies that need MORE curves, the bodysuit highlights what you have. If you have MORE curve than you want, bodysuits can suck you in and lift you up.

My recent obsession is with bodysuits that have lots of strappies (technical terms) or lace up in the front or the back. OR bodysuits that are lacey and sheer. There are off-the-shoulder designs, or one shoulder bodysuits, there are backless ones and plunging necklines. There are animal prints, solids, and every color of lace you can imagine. And while we are now limited in our ability to shop local, there are many online retailers that have a variety of bodysuits available. Check out Amazon.com, Yandy.com, shein.com and torrid.com. I promise you will find plenty of options and at reasonable prices.
